Workshops

I have been teaching dance workshops since the 1990s. Most have been in the UK, but I've also taught in Ireland, France, Switzerland, the USA, the Bahamas, and Australia. Some of the highlights (for me) have been:

Teaching and leading 400 beginners as part of the Fire Event, a large-scale ritual theatre performance that concludes the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland, Australia. I taught there with Laura Shannon in 2001 and again in 2002. An amazing experience!

I've taught at the Findhorn Festival of Dance, Music and Song every year since I moved to Findhorn in 1999. This has included running my own workshop sessions, teaching large groups, working with live musicians (including the wonderful Xenos), and running the Late Night Rom (Gypsy) dance sessions which have become a regular feature.

For over ten years Laura Shannon and I ran an annual dance and mountain walking workshop in Braunwald, Switzerland. Situated in a beautiful, car-free village we combined intensive dance sessions with hikes in the high Alpine mountains.

I once taught in a church, situated in a shopping mall, in Las Vegas!
