A dance from Grevená in south-west Macedonia, Greece. I learned this dance from Laura Shannon in 2009.
The music is in 3/4.
Start in a line in a W hold, facing centre.
Step across in front with the left, then hold the position, then step to the side with the right. Do this twice.
Step across in front with the left, then hold. Step back with the right, then back with the left. Step forward with the right, then forward with the left. Lift the right foot in front, then hold.
Step slightly to the side with the right, then point the left foot to the side, and hold.
Quickly step across in front with the left, then quickly step a little to the side with the right. These steps are twice the speed of all the others.
Start the dance at the beginning of a musical phrase.
