A dance from Armenia. The name means 'Sweet Girl'.
The music is in a 4/4 rhythm.
Start in a line, arms in a W hold, facing right.
Lift the right foot (quick),
then take three quick steps forward, starting with the right,
while making a small circular motion with the hands
Repeat with opposite feet.
All the remaining steps in the sequence are slow.
Turn to face centre and step to the side with the right, cross behind with the left, and step to the side with the right.
Let go hands and turn to face out of the circle.
Step to the side with the left, cross behind with the right while clapping,
then step to the side with the left.
Turn to face centre and rejoin hands.
Step to the side with the right, then cross behind with the left.
The melody is played through twice as an introduction, the dance starts just before the singing.
